Start with a little play.

  1. Choose your number.

Start with a small number, such as two.

  2. Look for it together.

Find things in twos: a pair of shoes, two wheels, or two socks. Count them together.

  3. Make a little mark.

Show your child the written number. Invite them to draw it, trace it, or look for it in a book.
