Mind Builders

Scavenger Hunt!

A familiar toy. A little hiding place. A new discovery together.

2 yearsFamiliar toys or household objects

Start with a little play.

  1. Choose a few familiar things.

Gather toys or everyday objects your child knows. Show each one before the game begins.

  2. Hide them in easy places.

Let your child watch you hide the objects. Keep part of an object visible if that makes the search easier.

  3. Look, notice, and try again.

Invite your child to find the objects. Offer a clue when needed, then take another turn together.

Make the game your own

A discovery worth repeating.

Try one easy hiding place first. You can keep the same objects and change where you put them when your child is ready for another round.

  • Leave part of the toy showing
  • Offer a simple clue
  • Let your child choose the next hiding place
